watched Rogue Agent last night...

Overall a good movie, however for fans of Shazad Latif, you'll have to wait a little over an hour into the film before his character, DC Sonny Chandra appears...By the way, the two photos of Shazad Latif on the imdb page for Rogue Agent are not very flattering...

ultracutebot Tumblr re-post: 10 connections between Toast of London and Doctor Who

Reposted from my tumblr post :

1. Steven Toast has a flashback in S2 E2 “Desperate Measures” to his small part as an alien saying “Yes!” to the 4th doctor

2. Jane Plough tries to discuss a Doctor Who opportunity (which is why Toast flashes back to his bit part with the 4th doctor) S2 E2“Desperate Measures”

3. Peter Davison, who is most well known as the 5th Doctor,  plays a truly absurd version of himself in 3 episodes (S2 E3 “The Moose Trap”, S2 E4 “High Winds Actor”  and S3 E2 “Beauty Calls”)

4. Louise Jameson who played the perpetually scantily clad companion  Leela in Doctor Who, plays Wendy Nook, a prostitute who teams up with Toast for a blow football tournament in S2 E1 “Match Fit”

5. Adrian Lukis (Blair Toast) has done voice work for Doctor Who podcasts.

6. Robert Bathurst (Ed Howser-Black) played Farquhar in Doctor Who S13 E5 “Flux: Chapter Five - Survivors of the Flux”

7. Doon Mackichan (Jane Plough) was Louise Marlowe in the Doctor Who spinoff The Sarah Jane Adventures (S4, Ep2 "The Nightmare Man: Part 2")

8. Harry Peacock (Ray Purchase) was Proper Dave in 2 episodes of Doctor Who (S4 E8 Silence in the Library and S4 E9 Forest of the Dead)

9. Tracy-Ann Oberman (Mrs. Purchase) was Yvonne Hartman in 2 episodes of Doctor Who (S2 E12 “Army of Ghosts” and S2 E13 “Doomsday”); She has also done voice work for Doctor Who and Torchwood

10. Cosima Shaw (Greta Cargo) played Steffi Ehrlich in Doctor Who episode “The Waters of Mars”

And now for something completely different...

This is totally not a Monty Python related post...but I thought the phrase was appropriate :)

On my birthday, while I was working I started re-watching Black Books, and I really do think I could watch this show over and over again and still find it incredibly funny. Dylan Moran is so bleeping funny as Bernard Black. All the gifs below are from Black Books GIF Globe which is a fantastic source of Black Books gifs.
